Nokia C7 Review

  • Friday, January 7, 2011
  • by
  • Unknown
  • Nokia C7 is still quite really close with the N-series of Nokia N8 in some way. There’s other features that Nokia N8 have than Nokia C7; like a 12 megapixel camera to boast of and HDMI output, but it does retain everything else in a slimmer, sexier design while having a price tag that is considerably lower than the N8. And also both of them runs with a Symbiam^3 Operating system that is important for Nokia phone. Physically, the Nokia C7's curved super glossy fascia and chamfered edges encourage a comfortable hand holding experience. Combination of plastic and metal made phone that feels distinctly durable and dense, a high gloss front and back of the Nokia C7 looks plain, simple and more attractive slim phone that more comfortable to fits in the pocket very nicely and making call on it, holding to your ear without any bulges. If you want a smartphone without the pomp and circumstance often involved in “going smart”, the C7 is worth for.

Nokia C7 sporting with 2 cameras in the back is 8Mega-Pixel camera for capturing images and recording videos that provide good shots and HD quality, but for an 8-megapixel model it’s not very flexible and a front facing cameras for video calling uses. You can also put the mobile display to good use with some DivX/XviD videos as those are seamlessly supported and excellent audio output quality as well and also the images and text are displayed well on the Nokia C7. It has a built-in 8GB built-in memory and support for microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32BG. Bad thing is you need to remove the battery to reach the microSD card slot – probably it’s inconvenient, but it’s not an issue at all. On the phone’s sides are a camera button, sleep slider, three navigation buttons, a power button, 3.5mm jack, microUSB slot and a tiny Nokia power socket. The mix of shiny silver, a white back and Nokia’s usual high quality build mean it’s still stylish – just in a rather ordinary way.

A 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive Touchscreen on board is surely better for touch display. A capacitive glass fronted screen is feels more comfortable when the finger glides along or scrolling and sliding on the surface that you feel smooth with a decent touch screen sensitivity whatever you do. Nokia C7 provides a 360x640 resolution pixel density for good enough to ensure of having requisite quality of acuity for most smartphone daily tasks.

    Nokia C5-03 review

  • by
  • Unknown

  • The Nokia C5-03 is a very eco-friendly gadget – 80% of the phone body is recyclable, while half of the packaging comes from recycled material and a S60 5th Edition device with a single tap interaction UI and a resistive touch screen with tactile feedback. The device has a 3.2", bright nHD (640 x 360 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio) display with a customizable home screen. Input methods include full screen QWERTY, alphanumeric keypad and handwrite recognition. Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with fairly basic video capture capabilities, WLAN connectivity, A-GPS and Ovi maps 3.0 so it should make a pretty good personal navigation device. There's also a good quality media player, FM radio and 3.5mm audio connector. A Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, USB 2.0 High-Speed, Can also support cards of up to 16GB, internal memory of 40MB and 2GB SD card. Supported WCDMA frequencies vary based on region where the device is available:

It’s a low-price phone with some high-speed connectivity with 10.2Mbps HSDPA and 2Mbps HSUPA. The C5-03 also packs the fastest CPU available on a Nokia S60 device – at 600MHz the old but efficient Symbian just flies. The Nokia C5-03 is a grandson of the best-selling Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and though it might be the last hurrah for Symbian^1 (or Symbian S60 as old-timers call it) it tries to deliver the same level of satisfaction on the bang for buck meter. The C5-03 is a lot lighter than its more upmarket sibling, coming in at just 93 grams rather than the C6-01's 131 grams. Physically, both units are roughly the same size with the C5-03 coming in at 106 x 51 x 14mm. The C5-03's 1000 mAh battery is quoted as giving up to 4.5 hours talktime and 24 days standby time on 3G.

    Key features

    • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support
    • Tri-band 3G with 10.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2 Mbps HSUPA support
    • 3.2" 16M-color TFT LCD resistive touchscreen of 640 x 360 pixel resolution
    • 5 megapixel fixed-focus camera and VGA video @ 15fps recording; geotagging
    • Symbian S60 OS
    • 600 MHz ARM 11 CPU and 128 MB RAM
    • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g; UPnP
    • GPS receiver with A-GPS support and free lifetime voice-guided navigation; free city guides and traffic information
    • Digital compass
    • 40MB on-board storage, microSD expandable up to 16GB; 2GB card included
    • Built-in accelerometer
    • Standard 3.5 mm audio jack
    • Stereo FM Radio with RDS

  • by

  •  I present the HTC A7373 EVO shift 4G, but we don’t know what the HTC A7373 is?  A Russian version of the horizontal slider and a quick Google search pops the Desire Z. Look like the HTC A7373 may be on its way to sprint in early January next year. And while one Russian e-tailer seems to think that codename refers to the GSM-friendly Desire Z, we have to imagine a Knight / Speedy / EVO Shift release is far more likely than a T-Mobile G2 redux on Sprint's CDMA --frequencies. read more-->>
